Why am I having trouble viewing or using QVC.com?

If you're having trouble viewing pages or searching on QVC.com using Internet Explorer, there may be an issue with the security settings in your browser. To fix this problem, try either adding QVC to your "Trusted Sites" list ,or modifying your Security Zone settings using the following instructions:


To add QVC to the Trusted Sites list:
  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options".
  2. Click the "Security Tab".
  3. Click the "Trusted Sites" icon.
  4. Verify that the security level for this zone is set to "Medium" or "Medium-High". If they're set to "Custom", click the button that says "Reset all zones to default level".
  5. Click the "Sites" button.
  6. In the box marked "Add this web site to the zone" type in "QVC.com". (Do not type "http://" or "www".)
  7. Make sure the box marked "Require server verification for all sites in this zone" is NOT checked. Click "close".

To change your Security Zone settings:
  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options".
  2. Click the "Security Tab".
  3. Click the "Internet" icon.
  4. Ensure your settings are set to "Medium" or "Medium-High". If they're set to "Custom", click the button that says "Reset all zones to default level".
  5. Click "close".

On the Product Detail pages, why do I only see the top and the bottom of the page and nothing else in the middle?

Why doesn't the page fit on my screen? I have to scroll to the right to view it.

QVC.com is best viewed at 1024x768 resolution or higher. If you need to scroll to see the entire page, your resolution is probably lower than 1024x768. To adjust your monitor resolution, do the following:

PC users:

  1. Right click anywhere on your PC desktop and select "Properties"
  2. Select the tab labeled "Settings"
  3. Slide the bar labeled "Screen Resolution" to the right until it reads "1024x768"
MAC users:
  1. Select "System Preferences"
  2. Under Hardware, select "Display"
  3. In the Display tab, select 1024 x768 from the resolution options
Another reason you may have to scroll is that you have Favorites, Browser History, or a toolbar open to the left of your browser window. Closing those will help you view the entire page without scrolling.

Why do I only see the Eastern Time Zone in the Program Guide?

Why do the pages take so long to load?

How do I optimize QVC on my AOL Browser?

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Go to My AOL at the top of the page
  2. Click "Preferences"
  3. Click "WWW"
  4. Under Web Preferences, uncheck "Use Compressed Graphics"
  5. Under Cache, select "Empty Cache Now"
  6. Click "OK"
If you continue to have problems after optimizing, we suggest you download the latest version of Internet Explorer.

What browser, settings, and plug-ins are required to best view the site?

You'll be able to view the site better if you:

  1. Use Internet Explorer 7 or higher (PC users) or Firefox 2 or higher (MAC users)
  2. Use Flash 8 or higher (free download available)
  3. Adjust your monitor resolution to 1024x768 or higher

    On a PC: Right-click anywhere on your PC desktop and select "Properties." Choose the tab labeled "Settings." Slide the bar labeled "Screen Resolution" to the right until it reads "1024x768."

    On a Mac: On the Menu bar, select AppleSystem Preferences. Click on Displays. Under Resolutions, select 1024 x 768. For best results, select the highest frequency (Hz) and highest number of colors that your display adapter will support

  4. Use Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download available)
  5. Make sure that JavaScript and cookies are enabled on your computer.

    To enable JavaScript:

    Internet Explorer
    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
    3. In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
    4. Click Custom level button at bottom. The Security Settings dialog box will pop up.
    5. Under "Scripting" category, enable "Active Scripting", "Allow paste options via script" and "Scripting of Java applets".
    6. Click OK twice to close out.
    7. Hit Refresh.

    Firefox
    1. Open Firefox
    2. Select Options from the Tools Menu.
    3. Click the "Content" Icon
    4. Check the box labeled "Enable JavaScript"
    6. Click OK.
    7. Click Reload.


    To enable cookies:

    Internet Explorer
    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
    3. Select the 'Privacy' tab.
    5. Move the 'Privacy' settings slider to Medium-High.
    6. Click 'OK'.

    Firefox
    1. Open Firefox
    2. Select Options from the Tools Menu.
    3. Click the "Privacy" Icon
    4. Check the box labelled "Accept Cookies from Sites"
    5. Click "OK"
